Lincolnshire undiscovered, off the beaten track, one of the most unspoilt parts of rural England. Stretching from the Humber to the Wash on the East side of England, Lincolnshire is an immense county of varying landscapes. You will find open rolling hills as well as deep sided valleys. Quiet country roads run along the ridges giving wonderful views across the Wolds.
To the east coast you descend onto the coastal plain, with its marshland and miles of sandy beaches, head south and find the Fens with wide open skies and magnificent churches.
Kents Farm Cottages have a telescope in each cottage and here in Lincolnshire the night sky is just perfect for stargazing, at times, guests staying with us are rendered speechless by what they see just by looking up, even without the use of a telescope.
We are close to the coast, Mablethorpe , Cleethorpes and Skegness and not too far from the city of Lincoln. We are close to nature reserves and the seal sanctuary at Donna Nook. From October to January the seal pupping season is in full swing and it gets very busy.
In addition 2 miles from Covenham Reservoir where sailing and windsurfing is available. Cadwell Park Racetrack usually has daily activities for the racing enthusiast. Rand farm Park at Wragby is a genuine working farm for children of all ages to enjoy. Kents Farm Cottages are 10 minutes from Louth, renowned as the prettiest Georgian Market town in England, where local produce can be bought from Louth Market which is held on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Local produce can also be purchased from Alvingham stores and Farm shop, 1 and 1/2 miles away.
We are surrounded by small Market Towns where there are frequent farmers and occasional continental markets held during the year.
